FAQS

What is environmental impact of natural latex products?

The rubber trees used to produce natural latex can help remove over 90 million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere every year. A highly envinronmental-concious choice of material.

What is the difference between 100% Natural Latex & Synthetic or Blended Latex?

Natural latex is manufactured from sap  tapped from sustainably harvested rubber trees

While Non-Natural Latex is a more affordable choice, made of Styrene-Butadiene (SBR) produced with the use of petrochemicals, but has a very similar chemical composition to that of natural latex.
Petrolium-byproducts have offgassing and air ventilating issues, smelly and hot.

How strong is the odour of natural latex?

Our natural latex have passed several Odour tests:

- TUV odour test: score 2 / 5, equivalent to "very weak smell and no abnormal smell"
- Eco-INSTITUT® odour report: score 2.3 / 6, equivalent to "perceptible, not bothering".

Lien A washing system is consisted of 7 pressing rollers and 21 water streams.

How is your 100% Natural Dunlop Latex Made? What is in it? Has it been tested?

Our natural latex foam is made from rubber sap tapped from sustainably harvested trees in Southern part of Vietnam

The product is Eco-INSTITUT® certified, in which the polymer content is consisted of  100% natural rubber and no (0%) synthetic rubber (SBR) or other polyurethane-based materials.

What are the ILD and Density ratings of your natural latex?

Indentation Load Deflection (ILD) is measured by indenting (or compressing) a foam sample to 25 percent of its original height. The more force required, the firmer the foam.

Density is a measurement of the mass per unit volume expressed as kilograms/cubic meters.

Our latex foam are offered in a wide range of densities including:

•         55 Density - Ultra Plush, ILD  10-13
•         65 Density – Plush, ILD  14-19
•         75 Density - Plush Firm, ILD  20-26
•         85 Density - Cushion Firm, ILD  27-34
•         95 Density – Firm, ILD 35-45
•         110 Density - Extra Firm, ILD >50

*ILD figures (pound force per square inches) are relatively converted from kilogram force per square meter measurement unit

Does natural latex mattress sleep hot?

With open-cell structure, natural latex promotes great air-ventilation, making it the most naturally breathable and sleeping-cool foam material

Dunlop vs. Talalay Latex

Which method is better? Any answer would be subjective

Still, there is difference in production process. Talalay method include air vacuuming step, resulting more air within the foam, making it less dense than what you’ll find with most Dunlop latex.

This means Talalay latex tends to feel more bouncy, while the durability award definitely goes to Dunlop latex

Is Latex Hypoallergenic?

Our latex product is naturally hypoallergenic and anti-microbial. Say goodbye to dust mites and other fungus on your mattress.

What third-party performance and durability testing is available?

Our latex product is certified by TUV Netherlands, in which EN 1957-2012 durability test was carried out.
TUV certificate shows that our mattress have little resilience-loss and firmness-loss after 30.000 load cycles (140kg), scoring 100/100 for this test.

We also passed Rollator test performed by Sealy Australia.
